Our Story...

The founder of Kalb & Co. grew up in a small
village in the South of France, where lavender is used in everything
from soaps and sachets to the region’s distinctive cuisine. Even as a
little guy, he noticed that a lavender sachet would keep moths away
(without chemicals!) and make clothes smell fresh (long after they were
washed!). While many French folks use sachets, more and more visitors
have caught on to the practice.
French lavender sachets have now
become popular in the UK and US. Even though the Southern French
practice has caught on, the style doesn’t always fit.
So Kalb
& Co. was formed to bring a new style to lavender sachets. It's not
that we don't like pink lace, we just prefer to provide products that
are simple, practical, and always at a low cost. Our products are
designed for everyone—this includes men too!
Kalb & Co. was
established in Bellingham, Washington, a well kept secret (Shh!) in the
beautiful Northwest. We’re not a travel agency, but we think that you'd
love this place, too! Check it out!
Patrick Harlin
Born in Utah, raised in Washington State, Pat has spent the majority of his life in the greater Seattle area. Pat enjoys both playing and writing music. He is currently a music composition major at Western Washington University in Bellingham. He and Stefan Kalb have been friends over the years at WWU, partly through a mutual interest in the environment and companies that promote sustainability, and partly through an intense chess rivalry. Pat’s experience with lavender sachets is recent and entirely enjoyable. He is excited to be part of a company committed to bringing innovative, high quality, and natural products to stores in an environmentally friendly fashion.
What do our customers say...
Have you ever been to Bonnie’s Bed & Breakfast in Pullman Washington? If you’re looking for a relaxing weekend, a whole bunch of food, check out Bonnie’s B&B. Bonnie knows how to run a great B&B. She’s got it down to every detail, and she even has a very friendly miniature schnauzer named Maggie.

And yes, Bonnie uses the LavenHanger.
“My customers always comment about the Lavender. They say it’s nice to freshen up their clothes after they’ve been in a suitcase for a while.”
